In a study coordinated by the Institute of Scientific and Technological Communication and Information in Health (Icict), Fiocruz has mapped the impact of fires on children’s health in the Amazon region. The survey concluded that in the areas most affected by the fire, the number of children hospitalized with respiratory problems doubled.
