After 180 days from the publication in the Official Gazette, the Law 13.123 entered into force on November 17th, 2015, and, according with the legal deadlines, the government had these same 180 days for the regulation of the law by the publication of a decree. However, past this deadline, the regulatory decree was not published and the Provisional Measure 2186-16 / 01, the previous legislation, was revoked. Fiocruz scientists in Pernambuco have discovered a substance capable of blocking the production of zika virus in epithelial and neural cells.
