New report assesses 2030 health targets in Brazil
The nine targets part of SDG 3 (Health and Well Being) were analyzed on a new report that demonstrates the inequalities among Brazilian regions. Mother mortality is an example of this scenario. The Brazilian average is below the minimum recommended in SDGs, but in the North and Northeast regions are still above the target.
Study reveals zika virus entry routes in Brazil
According to the study, the zika virus, originally from French Polynesia, did not come directly to Brazil. Before, it migrated to Oceania, then to Easter Island - from where he went to the Central American and Caribbean region - and then arrived in Brazil at the end of 2013.
PAHO publishes recommendations to reduce inequalities
